Yes, Mike I hand broadcast it, but I did prepare the field by plowing first.  I didn't get much rain on it and it came up in the moist sections in the field best.  the drier sections were slow to germinate.

this is my first time to plant buckwheat but I believe its more of a cool season crop..

this sunn hemp is a tall growing cover that should do better in the mid summer months like now.
the ads claim 6 foot in 60 days.. so its a tall growing cover, and a legume buckwheat isn't. 

 I'm planning to plant a field of sunflowers soon, to try them out.
If I'm not having problems,, I'm not doing it right..
