Well Saturday we purchased 6 Red Comet hens and will get 4 Buff Orpingtons in October to replace the one killed. Got three eggs today from the new hens.

That sounds  really nice.  Our Ginger is a Buff and is still quite a looker and layer at 6 years. :)    judy
