VELOUR BEANS
« on: January 28, 2017, 07:10:43 PM »
I am looking for Velour bush beans. I know they have them advertised on several sites. Since they are not available on either of the 2 sites I normally buy from, Im just wondering if anyone on here has ever purchased them online and where did you get them?

Pocono,

I have never grown them but Jung Seed Company and Johnny's Seeds appear to have them in stock. I have never ordered from Jung but I have from Johnny's so you may want to give them a try.

Having never grown them, what do they taste like?

They are great! Purple stringless french beans. Taste like any other bean maybe a slight nutty floral flavor. One of my favorite I havent grown in awhile.

Also the Carminat beans from Burpee are pretty similar but not long and thin like the Velour
