They said she's a buff orphington and very sweet. I'm new to raising chickens so I'm sure I will be asking a lot of questions.

Looks like a yellow buff, barred rock, rhode island red and the black one is not showing us her face---maybe a black sex-link---guessing.

I never remember having 4----but you gotta start some where. I remember having 32, then things went some-what crazy---next thing you know 1+1=2 2+2=4, then 1200+32=1232 Its contagious!!

Keep us updated with pics. You will have more eggs than you can eat sooner than later.

congratulations on the new flock.. I'm getting my stuff ready for a new flock myself.. not sure if your live close to woods or not, but might I suggest getting some smaller wire for your coop.. those holes look a tad big for keeping critters out.. you want to keep your girls safe..

Good luck.

Thank you everybody!  The black one is a sex link. The cage showing in the picture is just something temporary for that day. It was their first time outside. We are just about finished with our coop and run. I also wanted to wait a few more days to put them out because we're having a hard freeze tonight. I'm trying to make sure that there isn't any holes or loose places where some creature might get to them. I have a couple of lights too. And yes, I do live in the country.
They do already have their own personality and I can tell by their chirps who is making all the noise. And yes,  they all have names. LOL  I will keep you posted and take more pics.

Congratulations.  We joined you this afternoon.  We picked up 5 - 24 week olds and 7 - 7 week old chicks that will be in separate coops.
