Hey yall just a few pics. Added a couple more maters to the GH along with a couple cabbage, broccoli, and pokchoi.
Everything that was planted a couple weeks age have been doing great. Having some issues with bugs on the cabbage in the raised bed but sprayed and hope that takes care of the issue.
In the last pic you can see that we added a small storage. It should help with keeping track of the stuff we use. Going to have to make another one because that one is almost full already with the different fitting it takes for the hydroponic and watering systems that bit h the garden and GH use. I have some pictures of some blackberries that will be added next.

Also I forgot that the strawberries didn't make it through the summer so I am using the raised beds for cabbage and broccoli since it has been to wet to get in the garden to do any work for the fall

Strawberries didn't fare well here either but at least you have the beds working for you.

Just a quick picture. Everything doing great but cabbage and broccoli are crazy! Also a pic of the little man in the back playing with the buckets!

No he's not playing in the ant poision. It was moved right after the picture.

A few more pics. I have 1 cabbage that the bugs have taken. We have sprayed and the rest seem to have pretty much been left alone. Also to stuff in the outside raised beds are coming along nicely.
Maters are bumping along very nicely. Even with the intense heat we are having. Should have some nice cuttings to take and replant by the time I get home!
The cucumber are really nice and green for the most part. Bought those locally. Also started some seeds to add more to the rest of the buckets.
Still trying to decide what to put in the rest of the buckets!

bobcat...were they everbearing strawberries?

i had strawberries in a pot here that pretty much died back and i was going to get rid of (like brown and gross and dead looking).  i did not do so and when the weather finally started getting below 90 here they came back!  they are green and leafy again and i transplanted them to one of the barrels.  the thing is taking off and i might have a shot at more strawberries!

post something!  c'mon...you know ya wanna...  :)

Looks like everything is shaping up really nicely for your fall crops.

I like your basket rack idea for your irrigation parts.

Sorry to hear your strawberry plants didn't make it.

Chip I do not remember exactly what type of strawberries I had. I do remember that They recommended shade cover during summertime heat.

Maggie the loss of the strawberries were pretty much expected. Just hoped for better.  I would love to take credit for the small rack, but I just found it on a web page or something. I am not very inventive but enjoy looking around for ideas!

This is the earliest I have planted my cabbage and broccoli, by about 2 months. It's surprising that the heat has had almost no effect on them. I can't wait to see how big they get.

I know I just posted pics a few days ago but it seems when I am at work the stuff in the GH grows so much faster. Starting to get some cucumbers on the vines, tomatoes are growing great, and all I can say about the cabbage and broccoli is wow. Hope I end up with more than just leaves but with the heat in the 90s everything is doing way better than expected!

Oh and a little experiment. With all the tomatoe plants that were just popping up in the buckets. Decided to put some cucumber seeds and cover them with some perlite. And dang if they not coming up. Gonna leave them there for a week or so then plant them into their own buckets.
Enjoy!

I'm surprised it's growing that good too. I think you can forget about transplanting those cukes, the roots will be to the bottom when you get home. I planted cole crops early last year and they did good so I think you'll be fine, it looks like they're loving the new home.

I looked at my GH today, operation NUKe is complete!! The weeds are dead brown so it's about time to crank it back up, this year I'm growing some peppers hoping they make and a few tomatoes and cukes.

That great Rob! Can't wait to see your pictures.

Pops is gonna plant off those cukes for me while I am at work. They should fill the rest of the smaller buckets up and have a good variation of time between each of the plantings.

Thank you for the 2 Compari plants. They are starting to come around pretty good. I got them mixed up so not sure which will be which but can't wait to see if I can figure out the one that is crossed.

Save 3 buckets, I have 2 crosses and a Bloody Butcher plant for you in a few weeks. I crossed seeds from Woodchip(Siberian) and Rebel Yell and the other is Compari X Rebel Yell.

Another update. Heat is pretty bad. The temps in the GH are getting up over 100 for 3 to 5 hours a days. I still have been unable to get my fans installed due to work. But there is enough air flow on the lower parts of th GH. Anyway here's some pics.

The first 2 pics are of our mystery tomatoes. We are letting them just grow untill we figure out what kids they are. They are already putting on flowers that are falling due to the heat.

The third pic, is a pic of what we lovingly call our rescue maters! They were donated to the GH. They are coming around nicely. I can't thank Rob enough for giving them to us. After I had lost the cutting from the spring.

The 4th is a pic of the maters the ones on the left are early girls or brandy wine. Don't remember for sure. The ones on the right are celebrity. Again after losing the cuttings from the spring my options were limited. I purchased them locally. Will start some other varieties soon.

5th pic is the cucumbers. They have been staggered in plantings. Hoping to have about 30 buckets by the end of planting. We should be eatting some in the next 3 to 5 days.

Lastly is a pic of the raised bed of cabbage and broccoli in the GH. At such a hot part of summer to have such amazing growth!

All these plants look great. I know the heat will start to taper off in another week or so and you should be knee deep in tomatoes very soon. Better get your jars ready to make some pickles too ;)

Great job!!!

Thanks Maggie!!

Double B.... I got a few jars.. .  Well more than a few.... Lol ok alot. I piled up the jars for canning maters, pickles, and blackberries when they were on sale. I had not been collecting jars for long so I think I got 70 cases total. My pops was happy so we could can things.. mom was not so happy. But I was excited to get started learning and teaching the kids!
