Turned two compost bins.  Leaves and coffee grounds.  Must've used about 40 lbs. of grounds...

Deciding if I should go start a few tomato seeds, now...

Pulled a few carrots for the wife to make a carrot cake.  Also started some Cherokee Purple and Black Krim tomatoes.  Checked on the volunteer Cuostralee tomatoes and it looks like 3 will make it.

Well I put some leaves and about 15 gallons of ashes on the garden.

I hope to till it in when the ground dries up.

I replaced the waterpump on the little Ford.  The shaft had broken in two.  About the only thing I didn't have to remove to get at the pump was the left rear wheel.  Sheesh, it was much harder getting TO the pump than changing the pump.  Hey here's a little tip:  SHOP AROUND.  The local parts house shot me a price of $180 and it would take a week or so to get the pump.  Stevens had the pump in stock for $108.  Needless to say I drove to Coushatta.

Woke up to rain this morning. Let my chickens out and grabbed a shovel. Started digging and turning some ground which always entices the girls to come and help. Love the manure fertilizer they leave behind. Wanted to dig up and process my 8 rows of carrots but the rain got too heavy. Maybe I will finish later today or tomorrow.

Nice set up GaTrapper.

It brought in 4 mudbuckets full of Pro-Mix to get my 1020's ready for planting next week.

Checked Donald's planting calendar.

Donald,
Does your planting calendar start from seeds, or transplants?

I moved all the stuff that was on the side of the greenhouse and unrolled the side curtains. Got everything battoned down on the sides but the back was hell cause I don't have my end wall back up.

At least the very cold won't affect me come Monday morning if the forecast is accurate.

25 in the am and a high of 49 OUCH ~!~!

I watered everything in the GH and transplanted 2 self pollinating cucumbers.  Tonight will be the first real test since the forecast is for 27.  Since this was my last chance, I took cuttings from 3 peppers.   I'm hoping I won't have to worry about protecting plants in there as long as it doesn't get to the low 20s.
