Happy Hour / Re: Beware of Spiders!!
« on: April 12, 2017, 10:07:03 PM »
This morning I was washing my hands with hand cleaner after I get gas on them walked around the side of the shed turned on the faucet to rinse off and a saw the spider come out into my hands and felt the sting.

I was thinking about this thread I had read a couple nights ago. I took a picture of it on the ground txt it to my friend at the feed store he said yea its a brown recluse and get to the doctor.

Put everything up called my local doc and ran up there he wrote a script for prednisone and said take benydryl also and if it starts getting infected he would call in antibiotics.

I got home got to looking at the picture posted it on facebook for identity and looked on google we determined its a yellow sac spider thank god it wasnt a brown recluse.

It was living in the faucet there was webs up in there that came out, faucet hadnt been turned own since last fall winter when I drained everything.

One of mine that froze has sent up what looks like an avocado tree from below the dirt. Not sure if its an actual avocado or the rootstock
Worth giving it a try..

Same thing I was thinking so I went around it when mowing will see what it does..

I am 8b also, it gets hot so quick though I gamble every year havent lost any yet in 7 years... Usually blight kills them but from what I saw in the fall using the new fungicides it should be a good year... Finally sprayed something that actually worked for a change..

I use the humidity domes to hold the moisture in the trays, my shelves are inside upstairs in a small 10x10 room stays about 80f in there all the time with a few lights on

19
I bought mine at sams also, instead of a plastic cover I use humidity domes or tops on all the trays.. I have a couple plastic shelves also they dont hold but 8 trays vs the big one will hold 20... I can do do 36 flats at a time if I want..
