CRISPE can move or delete genes to produce a non GMO citrus tree resistant to Canker and Citrus Greening.

Actually, this is still a genetic modification(GMO) but sounds better than other things they were doing prior.

Thank you possum for monitoring this subject.  This is great news for all citrus lovers.   Just before the freeze got my Meyer lemon several years ago, I found a lot of cankers so it was doomed anyway.  All my replacements are still in pots for the GH but the hardier ones will be liberated in March.  I'm fixing to root lots of cuttings for insurance.

I'm against cross species GMOs for profit and control but this technique sounds like a true blessing.
