Toooooo   Much rain for the last 2 month's and it's hard to get the Super A in the patch to do anything....

If it dries out a lil bit we will be planting corn soon ~!~!

Rain, rain, and more gloom!! Around here some plant summer crops in mid April and I plant in May. Patience on planting sure cures a heap of ills. Have a lot longer to go here before worrying about the weather and planting.

Way too warm here the past week. Jonquils, etc. blooming----and even my Maples look like they are about to produce leaves. NOT GOOD!! The last time this happened this early, we almost lost our trees, because they had just put on very tiny leaves and we were hit with 5  or 6 days of cold...  25 degrees and below. They were delayed a good month producing leaves, and I just thought they were all dead......many folks did lose theirs. I actually thought about putting the a/c on in my car awhile ago.. too warm.!!!!

It is the rainy season here in Texas, it has been raining hard for days and we have three more ahead of us.  The garden is off limits and even the raised beds are suffering.  I caught a 55 gallon barrel full of rain water in one night.  That is a lot of water.  The only place it is dry outside is the greenhouse and all may seedlings and doing great.  If I had not purchased it earlier in the month, I would only have some onions in the raised beds.  It always gives us a few days to plant potatoes but not this year.  They are all cut and ready to go but you would need tall boots in the garden to plant them.  It always gets pretty here very soon and I am hoping it will this year.  We have had some strange springs the last few years, either really dry or really wet and this might be another one of those.  We will do the best we can with what the Good Lord gives us.  Hope each of you have a great year.
