Need a recommendation on a Wood Cook Stove
« on: May 22, 2016, 07:43:29 PM »
I would like to put a wood cook stove in my house. My problem is that I don't have space for one. I do have in my family room a free standing Jotul wood heater that will heat a 2000 sq ft house. I am thinking about replacing the wood heater with a wood cook stove. Does any know about a wood cook stove make/model that would also heat my house in the winter. It has to meet that requirement before I can do this change out. I would appreciate any recommendations that you have. My plan would be to fire the wood cook stove up and let it burn all winter to heat the house and also cooking meals. During the warm months I would use the gas range we have to do all the cooking on.

Lehmans has a large number of wood burning cook stoves. They are in Ohio. You could go to their site and get an idea on what you want and maybe find one closer to home. I am sure it would be pricey to have one shipped.
