Greenhouse Plastic Source?
« on: August 21, 2016, 08:29:16 PM »
I'm going to be building our hoop house next week and will need some plastic OV rated in a short while.  Any good sources out there?

Shipping will eat you up. Surely you have a local growers supply that carries standard GH poly.

Thanks Ragun - I found that site yesterday and they fit the bill and have everything we need.

Allis - This is farm country but they farm the old fashioned way.  Plant in spring after frost and harvest before frost.  My neighbors aren't too sure of our sanity for going outside the mold.  :)

I can get anything I want through our Feed and Seed store but it is order also.

I will preface this with I have never bought anything from this business so I am only suggesting it because it is in TN
I have no idea how far from where you live from it, but I thought if close enough to drive to it it would save you on shipping.

Thanks Maggie - that isn't a bad drive and we are heading that way next week to check on some fruit trees in McMinnville.  Supposedly t  :)here are more nurseries there per capita than any other place in the country.

Seems like I learned about this company on this forum a couple of years ago (but I could be wrong!)...

I haven't ordered from them, so I can't comment on their service, but, in any event, it's the best pricing I've seen so far.

Check out this price for shade screen. I know this is the cheapest stuff made but it should last a few years with only a few months in the sun a year. I'm not sure what exactly would work better for us down here but I think the 40% would do wonders on tomatoes.

Someone also told me to call Farmtek and ask about the remnants but they have good prices too.
