I get so excited this time of year watching all the flowers bloom I thought I would take a few pictures of the property.

Spring is what us gardeners live for. Seeing new and old things come to life really renews our spirit. Thanks for sharing the photos.

Nice selection of trees you have!!! I think the unidentified is a Japanese Magnolia. We call them a Mardi Gras tree because that's usually when they bloom.

Beautiful!! Agree with Ragun, that sure looks like a Japanese Magnolia....also called a Tulip Tree.

In my part of South Georgia on the coast we call your unidentified a tulip tree. It is up lifting to see everything begin to bloom and the fruit begin to form. It is like the light after the storm. A new and productive season bustling with life after winter's down time.

We have a tulip tree north of mom's house that is probably 50 feet tall.   Dad planted it 45 or so years ago.   The flower you posted looks like ours.

Gopher....my hometown had a HUGE very old Tulip Tree. I was the pride of the town....bloomed profusely every year. Was so beautiful !!
