Lousiana cuisine and recipes
« on: March 22, 2018, 06:43:57 AM »
I was asked to post some of the dishes I had last October so I thought it would be a good idea to have a thread to post recipes and such.

This was a pork and potato based recipe (please help me Brent) with mustard greens - it was so good I went for seconds  ;D

Louisiana sun tan after spending the whole morning harvesting and processing the mustard greens at Zook's place and going fishing at PAC the day before :)

Vincent Is there a recipe that you could be added to the post?

You could put the recipe in the RECIPE section with a link to it here

My very first Po boy at Doc's hole in the wall as Zook calls it LOL

I also had some fresh oysters that I ate with a dash of lemon juice but I forgot to take a photo unfortunately. Needless to say I was very full after all that food LOL

Not a recipe but this photo taken at the Oct 2017 GTG was one of the highlight of my 12,000 miles trip to Louisiana  ;)

Not sure who is the forum member in the background next to Zook. Please let us know who you are.

The key to a great pork and turnip stew is to use turnips and not potatoes. LOL...

That's Lane aka Mudhog to the right of me in the pic.
