Help I just bought a Ferguson tractor with a front end loader 4 cylinder gas how do I identify which it is Iím thinking it is a to 20 or a tea 20 thanks for any help

There are a few ways to tell.

1 - Check the serial number. It's on a plate on the steering column near the throttle lever.

2 - Check the transmission cover casting ( the thing that the shifter comes out of). On a TEA/TE it will be one piece that is combined with the base of the steering column. On a TO machine the transmission cover and base of the steering column are two separate castings.

3 - Look at the transmission case, on the side with the dipstick. There should be casting number that could yield some clues.  On a TO series machine, this casting is cast iron, on a TE machine it will be aluminum.


Edit: If you could post some pictures or send me some pictures that may help us make a better identification if the above options don't work.

Thank you I found out it is. TE20 made in 1950
