The azaleas are in full bloom. Our bushes only have white flowers (the prior homeowner really liked white, so that's all they planted) These bushes are at a local church, and I really like the mixed colors. Unfortunately, the non-hybrid azaleas don't stay in bloom for long - maybe two or three weeks if a storm doesn't strip the blooms off. If you blink, you may miss them.
Here in the Southeastern US, azaleas are a fixture in many yards, particularly older homes, and their blooms are a sign that spring is on the way.
